Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural Fitter for a fabrication shop in Decatur, AL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience fitting plates and structural members, reading blueprints and layout drawings, and preparing components for welding and assembly. This role requires strong attention to detail, safe work habits, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Fit plates, beams, angles, channels, and other structural members according to shop drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
• Measure, mark, align, and position materials for fabrication and welding.
• Use hand tools, power tools, squares, tape measures, clamps, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication shop tools.
• Tack fit components and prepare assemblies for welding.
• Check fit-up, dimensions, alignment, and quality throughout the fabrication process.
• Work closely with welders, supervisors, and other team members to complete projects accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all safety procedures and shop policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a structural fitter, fabricator, or similar role in a fabrication shop.
• Must know how to fit plates and structural members.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, tape measures, and fabrication drawings.
• Experience using shop tools and equipment safely and accurately.
• Ability to perform accurate layout, measuring, fitting, and tack-up work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 1st shift in Decatur, AL.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required in a fabrication shop setting.
• Comfortable working around steel materials, welding operations, grinders, cutting tools, and overhead material handling equipment.
• Must be able to follow all safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a 1st shift position located in Decatur, AL. Pay range is $24.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician with strong pipefitting experience to support maintenance operations in a chemical manufacturing facility in Decatur, AL. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining mechanical equipment, piping systems, valves, pumps, and related plant systems while following all site safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial piping systems, mechanical equipment, pumps, valves, flanges, fittings, and related components.
• Perform pipefitting work including measuring, cutting, threading, fitting, assembling, and testing piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, isometric drawings, piping layouts, work orders, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Support equipment installation, alignment, rebuilds, and mechanical improvement projects.
• Work with operations, maintenance, contractors, and supervision to communicate job status and maintenance needs.
• Document work performed, parts used, and equipment conditions according to plant procedures.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, confined space requirements, hot work procedures, and chemical facility protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, chemical, refinery, or similar plant environment.
• Hands-on pipefitting experience, including layout, fabrication, installation, repair, and testing of piping systems.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, bearings, seals, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical instructions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring tools, pipe threaders, grinders, cutting tools, and related maintenance equipment.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, and PPE requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training, trade school, or journeyman-level experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a chemical manufacturing or continuous process environment.
• Pipe welding, stainless steel piping, carbon steel piping, flange alignment, and gasket replacement experience.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems.
• Ability to assist with equipment startup, shutdown, inspections, and turnaround work.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and work from elevated platforms as needed.

The Temporary Production Coordinator – Purchasing Support role will work closely with the Purchasing and Accounting teams to investigate invoices, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate transaction processing in SAP. Job Duties

• Investigate invoices and verify accuracy against purchasing records, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Perform invoice reconciliation and research discrepancies using Excel, SAP, and other internal reports.
• Work directly with Purchasing, Accounting, Logistics, Operations, and plant stakeholders to resolve entry errors and documentation issues.
• Review open process orders by running various reports through SAP.
• Ensure correct system goods issue (GI) and documentation of ingredients and raw materials.
• Ensure correct system goods receipt (GR) and documentation of output materials.
• Track down and help correct transaction entry errors, including faulty goods movements and backflush errors.
• Ensure packaging and other non-batch managed materials are correctly backflushed through each process order.
• Confirm, correct, balance, and close appropriate process orders in a timely manner.
• Create cycle counts of ZMIL and ZSFG materials as directed.
• Assist with planning and scheduling daily plant operations to support efficient use of personnel and equipment.

• Recommend process improvements that help minimize waste, improve efficiency, maintain specifications, and reduce operating costs.
• Verify that products meet specifications and quality standards before shipment.

What You’ll Do
