CNC Lathe Programmer:  The employee would beresponsible for creating computer programs that instruct a CNC lathe machine toprecisely cut and shape metal parts by interpreting engineering drawings andblueprints, translating them into G-code instructions (No CAM), setting up themachine with the correct tools and parameters, and ensuring the customer'sparts meet required specifications through testing and adjustments.

What you’ll do

• Set up and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling machines and lathes to produce high-precision components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and tolerances.
• Must be able to run a Mill and Lathe
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure accuracy in machining processes.
• Perform CNC programming and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming to optimize production efficiency.
• Conduct electrical discharge machining as needed for complex parts requiring specialized techniques.
• Implement GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) practices to maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with the engineering team using SolidWorks and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for design modifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.

Basic qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining processes.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and tooling for various machining tasks.
• Familiarity with plastics injection molding techniques is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely within the manufacturing environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with coordinate measuring machines for quality assurance checks.
• Knowledge of welding techniques for assembly tasks when required.
• Basic math skills for precise calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
