Overview:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes. This position involves managing various aspects of warehouse operations, data analysis, and transportation management to enhance efficiency and accuracy within our distribution center.

Duties Include:

• Adhere to all safety guidelines, rules, and regulations set forth by the company. Must follow Plant and Personal Safety Programs and Safe Work Practices. Individual will not take unnecessary risks to complete job assignments. Ensure safe work and operation of equipment is being performed by subordinates. Follow all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality and Food safety guidelines and LOG SOPs set forth by the company and verify they are being followed by all subordinates. Ensure quality and food safety standards are being met.
• Be the example of safety, quality and positive attitude. Conducting self professionally with subordinates, coworkers and management.
• Responsible for work done during shift and the review of records for accuracy.
• Ensure all activities related to daily logistics operations and supply chain are completed (shipments, customer and carrier communication, logistics issues, receipts, and inventory management).
• Understand and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures that may be given by management.
• Monitor and maintain transload yard inventory and remote warehouse inventory to ensure that customer shipments or deliveries are not affected. Bring any discrepancies or concerns to the attention of management.
• Manage key customer accounts or transload yards that require additional attention and oversight.
• Monitor and maintain raw material inventory and receipts to ensure the plant will not be affected. Bring discrepancies and concerns to management attention. Prepare the monthly raw material demand for the procurement team.
• Oversee finished goods shipping and raw material receiving, documentation, inventory and recordkeeping. Provide support and coverage for the department as required.
• Ensure that the sales work-flow is processed correctly and without interruption.
• Assist with month end reconciliation activities of finished goods, raw materials, chemicals, and additives, packing consumables etc.
• Coordinate with local management and the sales and marketing team regarding concerns in logistics, inventory, and delivery to customers.
• Communicate with customers on a regular basis to ensure that the commitments are fulfilled and inform them about any deviation from committed service parameters.
• Able to coordinate exportable and domestic shipments of product.
• Assist the Logistics Lead with verification and approval of all freight, storage and transloading invoices.
• Responsible for the generation of all daily, monthly inventory reports and daily updates of railcar allocation status.
• Maintain relationships with customers and trucking companies for scheduling deliveries, changes, inquiries, cancellations, and additional requested documentation.
• Coordinate and manage rail shipments with various railroads.
• Desired hands-on working experience with Microsoft and Excel software. Oracle and/or SAP are beneficial.
• Generate and circulate reports in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint to monitor and highlight the department’s performance in terms of shipment efficiency, perfect shipments, and inventory position.
• Perform work to ensure department objectives are met.
• Develop systems as may be necessary to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department functioning.
• A working knowledge of DOT requirements is preferred or must be able to quickly learn the necessary requirements.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Other items that may be assigned by management.

• Experience in logistics function for manufacturing & industrial marketing goods will be an advantage.
• Experience in rail logistics will be an advantage
• SAP Knowledge
