Hours:
• 2nd shift- 3:30p-12am may Train on 1st shift
Compensation:
• Pay $16.00/hr
Duties include:
1. Order Preparation and Verification:
• Order Retrieval: Pull the next order from the designated location (e.g., "Next Pull Shelf") and initiate the process.
• Material Verification: Verify that the Part Receipt Numbers on the order packet match the Pick Part Sheet.
• Applicator/Tooling Verification: Verify that the Applicator matches the Check Sheet or order
specification.
• Communication: If materials do not match, immediately notify the Lead or designated person.
2. Machine Setup and Programming:
• Tooling Installation: Load and mount the specified applicators/tooling into the machine (e.g., Fully Automatic CST or Bench Press).
• Material Loading: Load and feed the correct wire and terminals through the machine/applicators.
• Programming: Program the machine's computer with the order parameters, including wire type, terminal, wire length, and quantity.
• Fine-Tuning: Run test pieces (wires) to set up and fine-tune the applicator/machine adjustments.
3. Production Run and Quality Control:
• First-Piece Inspection: Perform a first-piece inspection to verify all critical quality parameters, including wire length, crimp height, and pull test.
• Quality Documentation: Record all first-piece checks on the check sheet.
• In-Process Checks: Run the required amount of product for the order, performing in-process checks at specified intervals to ensure continuous conformance.
• Secondary Process Verification: If the order requires heat shrink, labels, or other materials, run and verify the correct lengths and materials.
• Troubleshooting: Clear jams and inspect the product after setup or adjustment.
4. Order Completion, Packaging, and Inventory:
• Final Inspection: Perform a final inspection or end-of-run check to ensure all parts conform.
• Packaging (Standard Leads): For standard lead orders, bag and label parts according to the order sheet.
• Secondary Process Handling: For orders with secondary processes (poking, tin dip, twisting, etc.),place parts into designated bins and move them to the manual assembly shelf for further processing.
• Documentation Return: Return the check sheet and flowchart to the order packet.
• Inventory: Complete the inventory count for the order just finished.
• Material Return: Remove all materials and applicators/tooling from the machine and place them on the designated shelf for return to stock (Shipping) if no other orders are associated
• Strong mechanical aptitude for setup and adjustment of automated/semi-automatic production equipment.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment for quality checks (e.g., crimp height gauge, pull tester).
• Read and follow detailed Work Instructions and check sheets.
• Basic computer skills for machine programming and data entry.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality and traceability
Required experience:
• High School Diploma or GED required; Technical training or certification is a plus.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience operating or setting up production machinery (e.g., crimping, assembly, or equivalent technical environment).
