Location: Decatur, AL
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
• Saturday: 1:00 PM–10:00 PM

Must be willing and available to work Saturdays as required.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Material Handler / Kitting / Inventory employee to support manufacturing operations in Decatur, Alabama. This position involves more than material handling alone. Responsibilities include preparing kits for production, tracking inventory, organizing materials, and ensuring the correct components are available when needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Move, organize, and distribute materials throughout the facility.
• Pick and prepare parts and materials according to production orders and kitting requirements.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and materials for accuracy.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with inventory counts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and production documentation.
• Accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Monitor material levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies.
• Keep materials properly labeled, stored, and organized.
• Follow production schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Previous material handling, kitting, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and accurately use a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic inventory tracking and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be dependable and willing to work the required 2nd-shift schedule and Saturdays.

Important Position Information

This is not a material-handler-only position. The role includes kitting, inventory responsibilities, and supporting production operations. Candidates must be able to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
