About the Opportunity
PSI is hiring Machine Operators for a manufacturing facility in Huntsville, AL. This is a great opportunity for mechanically inclined candidates who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality, and are ready to build experience with CNC equipment, precision measuring tools, and production support tasks.
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs
Pay
$22.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate CNC machines and mills to support production requirements.
- Inspect parts for quality using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection methods.
- Monitor machines during operation and check parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Operate a laser marker and support marking requirements as needed.
- Saw slugs for low-volume jobs and change out saw blades when required.
- Stage completed parts for the next process, including parts washing, inspection, and FGR.
- Prepare parts for subcontract work and receive, verify, and stage subcontract parts.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following all company safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn.
- Quality inspection experience preferred.
- Experience using calipers and micrometers required.
- CNC machine operator experience required.
- Machine setup experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and stay detail-focused in a production environment.
- Steel-toe shoes are required.
